About CPR-Community Public Relations
Jodi Powers and Annie Loyd first worked together in 1998 to build community support for the Phoenix Mercury. Jodi wrote about the Mercury during their first two seasons and Annie worked to build their fan base with her network of community leaders and organizations. The dynamic duo were on the board of directors for the Phoenix Women’s Sports Association for many years: Annie was the vice president and Jodi was the Awards and PR Chair for five years.
A few years into working together they became the founders, creators and developers of One Planet magazine, an all-volunteer publication that addressed the 12 sectors of society and how they relate to one another, illuminating solutions and opportunities for sustained community development, and local and global peacebuilding.
Jodi Powers and Annie Loyd combined their talents and energies to start CPR. Annie has developed a large network through her work with so many organizations in the metro area of Phoenix, Arizona, the U.S. and beyond, and few can match Jodi’s work ethic and editorial skills.
In today’s world, it is essential to go deeper than a logo, a well-produced promotional advertisement or story. Communicating a multi-dimensional media campaign demands going beyond skin deep. When you peel back our skin at CPR-Community Public Relations and open our windows and doors, what emerges is a vast array of relationship building. Building relationships isn’t just about strategically identifying people you are involved with in a project, building relationships happens over years, over decades. Building relationships requires a cultural commitment within your organization.
Building deep relationships that withstand the test of time requires clearly articulating your mission, dreams and activating your vision.
